The Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis Artist Relief Fund awards grants of $500 or $1,000 to working artists who live in St. Louis City or St. Louis County whose immediate creative practices and incomes are being adversely impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
This fund aims to assist those who are facing guaranteed lost income in the next 90 days (March 18th – June 10th) due to: A. Cancelling your artistic events (think gallery openings, performances, classes) AND/OR B. Receiving cancellation notices for scheduled artistic “gigs.”
Springboard for the Arts’ Personal Emergency Relief Fund is a resource dedicated to supporting artists in Minnesota who experience career-threatening emergencies. We have expanded the guidelines to include lost income due to the cancellation of a specific, scheduled gig or opportunity (i.e. commissions, performances, contracts) due to Coronavirus/COVID-19 precautionary measures. Artists can request up to $500 to compensate for cancelled work that was scheduled and lost.
To assist local artists impacted by COVID-19.
We encourage any artist, arts presenter, or arts venue in need of support due to cancellations from the outbreak of COVID-19 to fill out this application. This fund is a money-in, money-out fund. The collaborating organizations will disperse funds as they are donated.
Mutual aid is the voluntary exchange of services and resources for mutual benefit. With music shows and other events being cancelled at a large scale as a response to COVID-19, we understand the astounding affect this has on the livelihood of independent artists – from musicians and DJs to graphic designers and photographers. Combating COVID-19 requires a cross community and collective effort. This form’s purpose is to collect information and build a directory of independent artists (YOU) to showcase your work. We will then put out a call to action to the larger community to support your work during this time of unstable employment/limited opportunities.
