Essex County Artist Fund

We invite Essex County artists and creative producers who have experienced losses due to the COVID-19 crisis to join our growing Creative County Initiative network through this new program fund. While our financial support is a drop in a very large bucket of need across our county, we view this as a time to connect with you and amplify your work and visibility as an artist.

New England-based singers whose classical performances were cancelled due to concerns over COVID-19 are eligible to apply for emergency grants of up to $500. Applications will be processed on a rolling basis as long as funds are available; grant amounts, deadlines and eligibility may be altered as circumstances change. Available funds are limited.

Cambridge Artist Relief Fund

Focused on lost income, the Fund will provide one-time relief to arts organizations and artists who live, work, create, enable, and/or perform in Cambridge. Grant sizes ranging from $200 to $1,000. Public Art Learning Fund

The Public Art Learning Fund provides grants of $500 to $2,000 to support professional development opportunities for New England artists to strengthen their public art practices. Through the Public Art Learning Fund, NEFA intends to foster the continued development of more equitable, inclusive, and vibrant public spaces and public life throughout New England.

Maine Artist Relief Fund

The Maine Artist Relief Fund will award grants of $500 to individual artists who live in Maine and whose creative practices and incomes are being adversely impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19). With events of all types being cancelled to reduce the spread of COVID-19, people who make income partially or fully through artist gigs, exhibits, events and freelance work are losing critical opportunities to support their well-being in our state.

Radical Imagination for Racial Justice Grant – $25k and $40k

We have always lived in unprecedented times. Well before COVID-19, and especially now, artists of color know what is essential for the freedom and liberation of their communities. We want to support you, your creative practice, your artistic voice, and YOUR world-building vision in collaboration with your community. We seek to support Boston-based artists of color (of all ages 14+) who are excited to bring to life their visions of a racially just society.
